What’s Wrong You Can’t Call Nobody?

Why Would anyone want to call themselves that?  The exact question I had when I first heard the name Daegan Smith “The King of Never Calling A Single Lead”. So OK not only why call yourself that but is it really true that he doesn’t call leads? Another question, you mean to tell me that he can make money and even be effective in his business to the point others are asking him for coaching? Wow if all of that is true was my first response.

  So to answer those questions it really took a little bit of investigation. The first thing that I found out while researching for a Daegan Smith Review was how uninformed I was when it came to internet marketing circles. It seemed as though I was one of maybe two people on the planet that didn’t know who Daegan Smith was…lol. I guess that could serve as my social proof after I googled his name and came up with no less than 957 results just for his name! 96 pages of Google Results FOR HIS NAME!!! How insane is that?! So then it begs the question, is it really necessary to do a Daegan Smith Review?

A lot of People believe he has the goods so that made me want to know why. What was this guy putting out that had warranted the attention of soo many?

So after the 96 pages of Google (still mind blowing), reading his story and the hundreds of testimonies about how this avg guy who still isn’t flashy by any means (if you saw him in a coffee shop you wouldn’t know it) the money hasn’t affected him in that way, this guy who has helped all these people get over the “Making Money Online HUMP” after all the evidence, your Honor…I have to conclude that what I heard was true.

So after all during our Daegan Smith Review we have found that, he really is The King of Never Having To Call A Single Lead!!

One of the facts about network marketing is that in order to build a business using this model one must be able to sponsor or recruit others to join them in business. I heard it said or I read it somewhere that if you want to know your level of leadership just simply turn around and see who’s following you.

Shifting gears to why I’m writing this post about Network Marketing, I was watching TV well, kind of, more so trying to find something for my 3 yr old to watch on a Saturday morning and I came across a college basketball game. The Duke Blue Devils were playing and they always get my attention primarily because I always root against them..he, he.

My Network Marketing Ahaa Moment…..

While watching them I began to think and reflect on the fact that they have had a long run of success with multiple championships won on the collegiate level and that is due in part to how well they scout and recruit the players that play for them.

“Coach K” Mike Krzyzewski, is among college basketballs all time great coaches and it’s due in large part to guess what…recruiting.

One word that kind of stands out to me is the word scout. Which tells me that they don’t take every player that they see. There’s a weeding out process or a qualification process that they use to ensure that the players meet the pre-selection qualifications.

In other words everyone isn’t a good fit for their system. So, about network marketing and how this relates to it, well again if you follow the Blue Devils track record of success and you study their methodology you can see how what they do is very similar to what we do as network marketers.

Coach K would not have the success that he’s had if he wasn’t purpose driven and targeting a certain type of player that fits into a profile that has been proven to work and deliver results.

Like top programs in college basketball we don’t want to recruit everyone into our network marketing business. We scout via relationship building. As we get to know and build relationships with individuals and through the art of asking qualifying questions we can scout prospects that we have considered working with.

This is an ongoing process in Network Marketing and everyone that you think will be a perfect fit or a superstar doesn’t always live up to expectations, the numbers say that most don’t. Even Coaches will tell you some “blue chip” recruits end up on the bench and not really being big contributors to the team as originally planned. So even Coach K misses every now and then, but that’s why they keep fresh recruits in the system. So it is with Network Marketing.

Scouting and Recruiting can lead to a championship level network marketing business just like it has led The Duke Blue Devils to multiple NCAA Championships and all the perks that go along with being considered a top tier program. One of the perks and this relates directly to our industry is, the more you win the more attractive to others you become. Just ask Mike Dillard, Jonathan Budd or David Wood as examples. People are seeking them out to work with them because of the success associated with their brand. But it all begins with scouting and recruiting essentials for network marketing success.
