Article Writing Essentails
With article writing these days it’s become very important to know how to write an informative, compelling article so that your business will become a successful online venture. The success of your website is heavily dependent on the amount of traffic that comes to your site.
You cannot expect to make a sale or any see any profit unless people are coming to your site often and staying for awhile.
Quality content, value driven article writing are keys to getting you more visitors to your site.
So let’s talk about a few steps to writing the afore mentioned type of article:
Steps to Awesome Article Writing
Article Writing by the time your coffee gets cold:
Quality Content-
Always lead with quality content. Understand that your building a brand, and a key component to that process is trust. That’s what people are asking themselves as they check out your article writing and visit your site. Can this person be trusted? Nothing answers this question quite like value. Once you establish trust with readers and deliver value, they will become loyal and expect nothing less than quality from you.
Research-
Please I know that most people are really eager and sometimes have a tendency to skip a step or two in order to get to “the real” stuff. Part of bringing value to the market place is reliability of the source. Again, this is about establishing trust and if you haven’t done your homework on a given topic and you write some unreliable article and lead someone in the wrong direction then your credibility has just been destroyed. Article writing is a part of establishing your brand and it’s hard work, you want to protect your brand at all costs. Find reliable sources and check them against other reliable sources to ensure what you write is valuable and useful to your readers. Don’t just throw stuff up against the wall to see what sticks.
Understand your Audience/Niche-
Another huge key is understanding your niche or audience and then giving them what they need in terms of value. If your niche is gardening then an article on “How to find a divorce lawyer” may not do to well. You have to cater to the interests of your target audience. They need help in any number of ways, listen to what topics dominate the forums and check other websites out in your niche and read what topics dominate and you will get a good feel for what’s needed in that particular niche and audience.
Spelling & Grammar-
Now this is becoming a biggie for me in article writing. Kind of a pet peeve that I have. As obvious as this may seem even some of my older posts have some errors and it doesn’t need to be that way but we often are rushing to get this done and over look the simplest of tasks. It just doesn’t look very professional when your reading and have to go over what you have just read again to make sense of it due to a grammatical error. The same for spelling, no one is perfect but you definitely want to cut down on as many as you possibly can.
Keywords/SEO-
Now, I saved this one for last because I don’t think that you can just overlook the job of SEO (search engine optimization) when it comes to article writing and content for your website. Find out what SEO keywords are relevant to your niche and include them in your article title and body several times.
Caution, you don’t want to overuse or overdo the use of keywords, just make sure when you use these keywords that it’s in the natural flow of your content. Google likes the natural flow and that’s how you should approach keywords in your articles.
Article Writing can be very valuable….
I hope that you got some value out of these simple but important keys to article writing. There are many more tips and tricks to article writing but these are some of the more basic steps and if you follow at least these few you will be well on your way to establishing yourself as a valued resource with your audience within your niche. You will also be helping and touching lives in ways you may have no idea about which is awesome in my book!
