Lead Generation – When to Say Whoa! Enough’s Enough

I remember my having my uncle pour me a glass of iced tea and he would always without fail say tell me “when”. That meant to let him know when to stop pouring.
I’ve been involved off and on in the network marketing industry for about 10 yrs and I’ve never had the inclination to say “when” as relates to leads.
I’ve tried many ways over the years to generate enough leads for my business so I could reach that zenith in my business and fix my mouth to say “when”.
Let’s see, I wrote out my list of 100 names called them each and followed my script to the letter, even practiced in the mirror before I called to rehearse so I wouldn’t sound so mechanical.
I even stood up while making my calls and smiled because I was told that my body langauge came across even on the phone by my sponsors.
Moving on I talked to the people at my church, the people on my job, I even used the memory jogger (not fully to be honest) but I contacted my mail man and even my dentist and his staff.
I even stalked my prey in Target and Walmart, got a shopping cart put a few items into the cart to help me really get in character and began my oscar award winning performance in the role of “shopper”.
I can laugh about it now but then it was as stressfull as anything I’d ever done and the strange thing about it was never once did I reach the point where my leads were about to overflow out of my cup forcing me to say “when”.
At the risk of being redundant…Wouldn’t it be cool to have more leads than time?
Wouldn’t it be cool to lay down for bed and wake up with e-mails, text msgs and voicemails from people who want to work with you?
Got something better to do than dramatically increase the amount of people with eyes on your business?
