The Unstoppable Entrepreneur Is…..me? An Aha Moment!

Did You Really Intend To Succeed In The First Place?

Unstoppable EntrepreneurSo I’m sitting here in Las Vegas for a company event and I arrived a little early so I can’t quite check into my hotel room yet and my mind begins to wander, and it ends up thinking about the quality and the clarity of Jonathan Budds‘ new video promotion series.

Becoming An Unstoppable Entrepreneur

So then as thoughts go, I digress a bit into thinking about what the title of his new and soon to be launched product means. What does it mean to be an Unstoppable Entrepreneur? I’m sure he has something awesome in mind for us but for today, for me at least I started thinking about the things in life that we allow to stop us.
Especially in our quest to “becoming” who we were meant and created to be.

For example, we allow what others think dictate how well our kids get educated, where and even if we’ll vacation this year, the stress level in our lives are dictated by what others think about us.

We are soo afraid of failing that it’s not even funny. But when you stop and examine our failures across the board you’ll see how silly it is to worry about it.

Ok, I can feel when you guys say to yourselves that this dude just doesn’t get it(I’m serious I really can feel it)…so let me take it there.

Have you ever failed to kiss your significant other?

Have you ever failed at telling your children how special they are and how much you love them?

Have you ever forgotten to pay a bill on time and gotten a late fee assessed?

How many potential all-stars  have you passed up talking to about your business when the opportunity presented itself?

How many blog posts have you forgotten because the idea came while you were away from your computer and you could have written it down but did not because you told yourself that you would remember it?

Did that stop you from writing your next one?

Did that stop you from loving your children?

So you mean to tell me that because you didn’t give your sweetie a smack three months ago that you haven’t done it since? Because of that one time you forgot? C’mon now.

Have you stopped prospecting because of the “big ones” that got away? I’m not buying that.

See I think your already Unstoppable in so many other areas of your life. Your already an unstoppable Mommy or Dad.

Your already an unstoppable spouse or whatever.

Your already an unstoppable best friend to somebody out there who you have been there for (and sometimes maybe not) and they still cherish your relationship today.

Why let fear win in this area of your life when  you’ve proven that your unstoppable?

Unstoppable Entrepreneur

F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real) really wants to drive but it’s your car and you have the keys…so go figure.

What’s my point? How do I summarize this post? I don’t, that’s for you to do because you have to mate those two words together and just be the………Unstoppable Entrepreneur.

5 Keys To Lead Generation Online

Hey guys I decided to write this post as kind of a follow-up to What To Look For In A Home Based Business In 2011 because it just seems to me like they would make a great tag-team.

The logic would be after deciding to start your home based business you would need marketing and leads as part of your planning going forward to be successful.

I guess I could have combined the two and titled the post something like, Lead Generation and What to look For When  Starting Your Home Based Business In 2011…..What do you think? No, doesn’t work for me either.

So I came up with 5 keys to generating leads online.

  1. Pick One Marketing Strategy

  2. Add Content/Value

  3. Brand Yourself

  4. Connect/Engage

  5. Marketing System

#1.Pick One Marketing Strategy- It appears at least to me, that one of the biggest hurdles to newbies when they come online is staying focused on one strategy until you have attained “Sensei Like”status in that one strategy. I know for me I was all over the place and had to unplug due to that huge hole that had developed in my pocket. Can you relate?

So if your using Article Marketing as a strategy for instance, then master it before moving on to something else. If it’s facebook then find some Great Facebook Training and learn all the ins, outs and master facebook (can you even do that?)

Marketing Strategies are broken down in a couple of different categories:

  1. Paid ex: PPC, Solo Ads, List Builders

  2. Free ex: Article Marketing, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn

Choosing a type of strategy usually comes down to these two factors:

  • Time

  • Budget

Typically it breaks down this way, if you have a budget and you want to generate leads sooner rather than later then Paid Strategies are the way for you to go.

If you don’t have a huge budget and your willing to make the time and be a little patient, then free strategies can work just as well, in some cases better.

Consistency is key. Especially if your using a blog and/or social media. Just because you get a few comments does not mean that you have locked followers in. Consistency leads to familiarity which eventually leads to trust which should be a key goal and where you want to be.

#2.Content – The cool thing about this part of generating leads is the added benefit of establishing your online voice which is a part of your brand, and as more people become familiar with your content and voice your brand will develop and grow.

Content can come in many forms, it can be a blog post, an article, a video for example, and you can get creative and use content in a few ways, because it’s basically information and since so many people come online to research and find out the what’s and how’s to’s to do something that opens up a lot of possibilities for you.

It is important that your content is niche specific that way you can develop loyalty with your readers which is easier when they have some since of where your coming from.

#3.Brand – Now this is really important. It’s your identity online. Your USP unique selling proposition. This will (especially for those new to marketing online) be an ongoing exercise of communicating who you are and why we should listen to you.

Brand recognition can be very profitable for you. A lot of people will drink a Coke even if they are not thirsty, because the brand of “Coke” has been so established as a drink of choice that it’s almost automatic to choose a coke vs something else for a lot of people. This is why content consistency is important.

#4.Connect/Engage – I understand that were not all cut from the same cloth, some of us are more feely, touchy and some of us are like well for lack of a better example Monk…….

Don’t touch me!!….lol

Now that may be a little extreme but my point is with your audience you can’t be stand offish (is that a word?) and be successful in generating leads. People connect with other people so you must lend yourself and actually actively seek out connections with others to generate leads.

You can leave comments on blog posts that you read, leave reply’s when others comment on your posts, connect on the social networking sites, forums to gain friends one must show themselves friendly is kind of a rule of thumb.

#5.Marketing System- There are many out there to choose from and some are better than others. I’ll just say this I had no idea when I came online what a campaign was nor how to set one up, never heard of a capture page, sales funnel anyone? These were totally foreign terms to me and I was looking to make money not learn to be a computer techie.

The benefit of using an Online Marketing System is that (it should) shorten your learning curve and provide a step by step process that will set up your online marketing and sales funnels. Ideally it’s plug and play so that within a very short time your generating leads for your business and properly using the sales funnel for additional income streams independent of your business opportunity.

My Lead System Pro

My recommendation is My Lead System Pro in that regard, (especially if your not generating enough leads for your business) due to the content and training in the back office alone is worth 10 or 20x more than they ask for and the support and community of marketers are truly amazing.

What To Look For In A Home Based Business In 2011

Home Based Business in 2011The Current Economy Is Reason Alone to Have A Home Based Business  in 2011

In today’s economic climate there are more people flocking to the Internet than ever looking to start a home based business in 2011.

Frustrations and fears are at an all time high with layoffs and uncertainty within America’s workforce. More and more people have seen their dream of retirement from former employers turn into a nightmare.

The direct sales Mult-level Marketing Industry has caught the attention of many former employees turned entrepreneurs due to a rapidly evolving world economy.

So that’s where our focus will be in this post as relates to a Home Based Business. So how do you know what to look for in a home based business in 2011?

Need More Ammo for A Home Based Business in 2011…

Here are 5 Key components that any home based business you are considering should have not in this particular order:

  • Sponsorship is it duplicatable?

  • Company Track Record

  • Product how is it received in the market place? Uniqueness? Saturation?

  • Training/System/Tools ex: Are they leveraging the Internet?

  • Leadership/CEO/President

Sponsorship – It essentially boils down to this, can I do this and can I easily teach/empower someone else to do it. The key factor in Network Marketing/Home Based Business in 2011 is duplication. How many Mini-Me’s can I make in the shortest amount of time? Remember, I can take you fishing and catch the fish for you or I can teach you how to fish and you can feed yourself for a lifetime.

“He Who Knows Why Will Always Employ He Who Knows How.”

Company – Listen and hear me good, selecting a company should not be an emotional decision. Here are some factors to consider in choosing your company:

  1. Timing- Where’s the company’s growth cycle? Network Marketing Companies spike and plateau in growth…you want to catch the spike cycle because you can capitalise on the company’s momentum.

  2. Product-Is the market saturated with that or very similar products? How many other companies are in that niche? In other words what makes your product so special? If I googled your product, how many other companies pop up? It’s all leverage and you need every advantage you can in this business.

  3. Track Record-What does the trail left behind by the company say about it? Do they practice business with integrity? Are the reps proud to be associated with the company? You can call and subtely interview a rep to gauge how they feel about the company.( Take Care Not To Get Sucked In)….lol

Training – Training is absolutely key in choosing a home based business in 2011. Training has to be a focal point of the company. Now every training system is not created equal, just because they have training doesn’t speak to the quality of the training itself. I only know of one metric that matters when it comes to measuring a training system…if new reps are coming in and having immediate success and building down lines with retention. To me that’s a training system that qualifies as successful.

Leadership – Last but certainly not least. The company’s leadership determines vision and direction for your home based business in 2011 and beyond. You want to have a firm idea coming into a company that the captain has his hands firmly planted on the “wheel” and that they have mastered the skills necessary to take the company to great heights. Again track record comes into play, have they done it before and were they successful at it?

Choosing a home based business to start can be a daunting task especially trying to use the internet to narrow it down for you. Hopefully these tips have been helpful in your search.
